SOUTHERN BOUNTY SERIES 101

Southern Bounty Series is forging the path for the off-road industry’s most challenging extreme sport – bounty racing. Born as a brand in November of 2020, interest and support in Southern Bounty Series (SBS) skyrocketed in just a few short months.

At its core, SBS is the ultimate test of man and machine as racers push the boundaries of their ATV and UTV equipment and their own willpower through 200 – 300 foot long, 6-foot-deep specially designed mud pits to see who takes home the bounty payouts of over $26,000 from each event plus our Championship points payouts. In 2023, we paid out nearly $300,000.

The series consists of eight classes based on a competitor’s tire size, Unlimited Tire UTV and ATV Class (60″ and up), Big Tire UTV Class (45.5″ – 59.5″), Big Tire ATV Class (45.5″ – 59.5″),  Medium Tire UTV Class (36″ – 45″), Medium Tire ATV Class (36″ – 45″), Small Tire UTV Class (35.5″ and below), Small Tire ATV Class (35.5″and below), and Kids UTV and ATV Class – 13 and under – (35.5″ and below).
SBS Events are action-packed races against the clock, with every competitor looking to score the fastest possible time through the designated mud pit for their class. When the run begins, drivers have up to five minutes to complete their timed pass through the mud holes triggering the electronic eye at the finish line that stops their time. If a competitor cannot complete their run through the mud, they’re scored based on the distance they’ve covered by the end of their run. At the end of the racing, drivers are scored in their class first by the fastest completed pass, next by distance traveled for those drivers that didn’t make it through their pit.

PERFORMANCE DRIVEN

SBS is the perfect showcase for aftermarket components designed for any mud enthusiast. Competitors use various driving techniques and aftermarket or custom-built technology to conquer the mud, which is constantly changing with every run. Machines in all classes must adhere to technical regulations that promote and reward innovation, engineering, and raw power.

Most racers have registered driver profiles with the series and racers representing many states across the nation even Canada. Competing with a wide range of machinery and representing all the major brands in the off-road world, there’s sure to be something that everyone is a fan of at every SBS event.

Located at world-class venues, each of our events consist of not only amazing non-stop racing action unlike any other series or racing organization, but also showcases thousands of acres and hundreds of miles of trails that fans of the series can come and enjoy throughout an entire weekend.
