OFFICIAL SERIES RULES (DRAG RACING)
Rule 2.5 states that when signing up for each class you must write the last 6 digits of the vin number of the machine you will be racing in that class. If there is not a vin number on the machine, then you will receive a band to go on the machine with a number that matches the number on the sign-up form. In the event that an SBS OFFICIAL finds your vin number on your machine, you will be required to pay $150 or forfeit your run.
All classes require OEM production style engine or direct replacement engine.
1 Drag Racing Class Rules
1.1 Sports Bike 4×2 Class – ATVs must retain stock OEM ECU, ATV Production Style Engine. Must have a tethered kill switch during the race event.
1.2 ATV NA 4X4 Class – ATVs of any make, model, and displacement. Must retain Stock OEM ECU, ATV Production Style Engine, no turbos, no blowers, and no nitrous allowed. Built motors with power adders may be utilized. No stretched ATVs. Must have a tethered kill switch during the race event.
1.3 UTV Stock Turbo Class – UTVs of any make, model, and displacement. Must retain Stock OEM ECU and OEM Intercooler. Stock turbo tunes / reflash are allowed. Nitrous is not allowed. New Rule – No paddle tires and / or spiked tires.
1.4 Outlaw UTV Class – All UTVs are allowed to run in this class however must have OEM style UTV engine.
New Rule – Outlaw UTV and ATV have now been split up.
2 Safety Rules and Regulations
2.1 Only 1 (one) person per machine during runs – regardless of manufacturer seating or ability.
2.2 Machines may be entered by multiple racers, but all racers must race with the same machine they signed up with.
2.3 Helmets are required for all drivers.
2.3.1 Properly functioning, tethered KILL SWITCHES are REQUIRED on ALL ATVs as well as chest protectors for 16 years of age and younger.
2.4 Goggles, safety glasses, and fire-retardant suits are recommended for all drivers.

2.6 You (the driver) must be present for the drivers meeting, and number draws.
2.7 After registration, prior to the drivers meeting, You must have your machine(s) and all tires ready for pre-race inspection and machines will remain in the staging area.
2.8 Alcohol consumption is not permitted by racers at any time during the racing event until after their final run of the event.
2.9 Alcohol consumption is not permitted by racers in the top 5 positions in the running order until after the awards ceremony is concluded.
2.10 One driver from each class will be chosen at random during the riders meeting for a mandatory breathalyzer test. If any driver during the race is suspected to be under the influence of alcohol, a mandatory breathalyzer test will be administered. During the awards ceremony, one driver from each class within the top 3 finishers will be chosen at random for a mandatory breathalyzer test as needed.
2.11 Failure to submit to a mandatory breathalyzer test will result in the driver’s immediate disqualification from the event.
3 Other Rules and Regulations
3.1 All rules are final.
3.2 All Southern Bounty Series official’s calls and judgements are final.
3.3 Southern Bounty Series reserves the right to change this rulebook at any time.
3.4 You may race up but aren’t allowed to race down.
